Thomas A. James, chairman of Raymond James Financial, Inc. and chairman of its subsidiary, Raymond James & Associates, Inc., was for 40 years CEO of the company, relinquishing his role in 2010. In addition, Mr. James is the past chairman of The Financial Services Roundtable and a current member of its board of directors. He is the past chairman of the board of the Securities Industry Association, the Southern District of the SIA, the District 7 Business Conduct Committee of the National Association of Securities Dealers, and a past president of the Florida Security Dealers Association, as well as Raymond James Bank, FSB and Heritage Family of Funds (subsidiaries of Raymond James Financial, Inc.).
